Is dieting making things worse?

You need to know that low calorie, deprivation diets don’t work for weight loss, well they do for a short time, until your body decides makes you so ravenously hungry, feel deprived or lacking in energy that you can’t stick to it any longer. You end up feeling you must be weak willed or lazy and you beat yourself up for not being able to stick to the diet and keep off the weight you so desperately want to lose. Well I’d like you to know that you’re not weak or lacking in willpower! It’s actually biology and evolutionary survival that kicks in with restrictive dieting styles and that you have very little control or power over the metabolic process.

But there is another way! As a health and nutrition coach, I help women (and men too, but mostly women) like you to find a different, kinder way of eating that puts you firmly in the driver’s seat, doesn’t upset your metabolism and gives you natural energy throughout the day. And you’ll be able to stick to it long enough to see you achieve your weight and health goals, so much so you won’t want to go back to old eating habits that made you feel worse not better.


It’s not just about the food!

Of course, food and nutrition is just one piece of the healthy weight loss puzzle so together we may also need to look at addressing areas such as stress and emotions (which can dictate our food choices), exercise and movement, sleep if applicable.

I’ve spent years and years studying, training in and researching natural health and nutrition, specifically for mood and healthy weight management, as well as stress management and the art of habit change, and I’m very happy to be able to pass on that knowledge and experience to you.
