Is dieting making things worse?
By now you know that low calorie, deprivation diets don’t work for weight loss, well they do for a short time, until your body decides makes you so ravenously hungry or lacking in energy that you can’t stick to it any longer. You end up feeling you must be weak willed or lazy and you beat yourself up for not being able to stick to the diet and keep off the weight you so desperately want to lose. Well I’d like you to know that you’re not weak or lacking in willpower! It’s actually biology and evolutionary survival that kicks in with restrictive dieting styles and that you have very little control or power over the metabolic process.
But there is another way! As a health and nutrition coach, I help women (and men too, but mostly women) like you to find a different, kinder way of eating that puts you firmly in the driver’s seat, doesn’t upset your metabolism and gives you natural energy throughout the day. And you’ll be able to stick to it long enough to see you achieve your weight and health goals, so much so you won’t want to go back to old eating habits that made you feel worse not better.
It’s not just about the food!
Of course, food and nutrition are only one piece of the healthy weight puzzle so together we may also need to look at addressing areas such as the part that stress and emotions are playing indoor life that can lead to comfort eating, as well as the best ways to exercise, finding your motivation and the quality of your sleep.
I’ve spent years and years studying, training in and researching natural health and nutrition, specifically for mood and healthy weight management and I’m very happy to be able to pass on that knowledge and experience to you now. Hi, I’m Hannah Wyborn and I specialise in helping women just like you find a healthy and sustainable way of eating that fully nourishes their whole bodies, allows them to be in full control of their eating habits and that removes guilt and the need to go on a punishing diet. As a registered health coach, I work with you to engineer gradual nutrition and lifestyle changes that fit in with your busy lifestyle and I will support and hold your hand along your health journey. I also seek to address the underlying reasons why you overeat in the first place, whether it’s down to stress, a poor self-image, food choices or hormonal or gut imbalances.

Mastering healthy habits is a necessary step to take control of your weight and health but it can take time and effort doing it on your own. Sometimes you need a helping hand and accountability partner to guide you through the difficult times and get through the road blocks. Support is at hand with my fully personalised 12, 16 and 26-week packages.
Cooking Services
In addition to health + nutrition coaching for weight loss, I also offer a healthy cooking service, in people’s homes and for retreats. If you’ve decided to make eating healthily a priority but don’t have the time or energy (yet) to cook yourself or your family, I can shop, prepare and cook so you know you have healthy meals in the fridge or freezer prepped and ready to eat.

If you’ve been putting on weight sneakily and gradually over the years, it is most likely to be the time between mid-November and early January that is responsible for the weight gain. People put on average up to 2lbs in the run up and over Christmas and New Year, which doesn’t seem like a lot given the excesses over that time (we pack 44% more social occasions into December than any other month of the year) but of course this adds up over the years.
